SAFEWAY INTERMODAL CONFIRMS SECURESEAL

London, UK, 14 January 2001

The revolutionary Safeway drawbar trailer now in use with Christian Salveson in Motherwell has been specified with SecuReSeal to provide the highest levels of security and reliability expected with this leading edge development.  The SecuReSeal range manufactured by OEM Group Limited has been in use across the Safeway fleet since its introduction in 1997 following a move from less reliable electronic alternatives which had proven to be substantially more expensive.

The unique mechanical construction which has received a DTI award for innovation provides the only true tamper evident system which when fitted to vehicle provides the transport operation with a reliable indication of unauthorised access.

SecuReSeal has eliminated the reliability problems associated with disposable and electronic forms of security seals, avoiding the use of batteries and with problems of limited life or instability.  The product is the only indicative security seal to receive HM Customs & Excise Group 1 acceptance, the highest level available.

“The association with Mr Roy Atree, Safeway Fleet Engineer, has proven to be of great assistance during the product development”, confirms Cameron Grant Managing Director of OEM Group.  “The original basic product has now undergone several enhancements and developments to produce an unrivalled range of transport security products.”
