SECURESEAL® HEADS TO SOUTH AMERICA AS WALMART BRAZIL FLEET
SWITCHES FROM DISPOSABLE SEALS

Enfield, UK, 09 March 2012 - Walmart Brazil began its operations in 1995 with two supercentres and three Sam's Clubs in the state of São Paulo. In 15 years, the company has become the third largest retailer in Brazil.

Walmart Brazil has recently chosen SecureSeal Systems Ltd, an acknowledged leader in reusable security seals for road transport, to supply them with tamper-evident SecureSeal® trailer seals to replace the current disposables on a fleet of 850 vehicles. The seals will also be specified on all of the company’s new-build trailers.

Walmart Brazil required a cost-effective and reliable seal that also met its commitment to the environment. The giant retailer has an extensive green programme in Brazil and by using

SecureSeal® on its trailers will eliminate the future prospect of thousands of disposable seals ending up in landfill sites.

Cameron Grant, Managing Director for OEM Group said: “SecureSeal® offers a more reliable, better value and longer term solution than disposable or electronic seals. Battery free and fully recyclable, the SecureSeal® is in keeping with corporate green policies which are becoming increasingly important.”

This breakthrough in overseas markets is another major coup for the award-winning Enfield company. SecureSeal Systems’ Export Sales Director Ben Grant explained: "There are now in excess of 50,000 vehicles fitted with SecureSeal® worldwide. With the inclusion of Walmart Brazil we have not only successfully entered the South American market, but are proud to be specified by yet another of the world’s largest retailers.”
